The band who call themselves Quadrophobe found formation somewhere back in the misty recesses of 2003, with an album called Anyway - a pioneering experiment in not playing instruments very well by founding members Messers Hughes & Martin. The band then gently shifted and changed over the years, much like a finely crafted trifle. One imagines.
The Quadrophobe ethic can roughly be described as 'having fun'. Their on stage unpredictay is therefore obviously all entirely part of this larger plan. Described as 'chaotic', 'funky pop', 'other' and 'a bunch of raving old queens', Quadrophobe don't really know where to begin describing their own sound - they only hope you enjoy hearing it as much as they enjoy making it. Since formation, they have written songs, recorded, gigged, and pioneered the Jazz Elephant; roughly in that order.
The new EP 'Evolution' is available now, recorded at Blue Moon studio, Banbury.

Torben - Bienenstich, Wheat-beer
Pete - Jean Michel-Jarre, Gilbert & Sullivan
Members:
Hughes - Lead Vocals / Rhythm Guitar
'The Pin Up' - Guitar string-breaking, whining, 'singing' sulking-in-the-corner, and generally making a fool out of himself. He writes a few tunes as well.
Dan The Man - Drums / Lead Guitar
'The Housewife's Favourite' - Noodling beyond belief, grinning, making everyone else food and generally being the band's guitar tech. Song writing too, if pushed.
Jimbo - Bass
'The Funk' - Bass-playing like the 70s never ended, organising gigs, encouraging fandom, and making everyone happy. He sells pretzels in his spare time.
Wilks - Saxophone / Drums
'The Talent' - Sax-riffing till his arms bleed, and then some more, legendary brass playing, and eating. Also a grand-master of music.
Torben - Sax, ambience
'The Rascal' - Bringing a continental edge to the band, he continually searches for the best shapes to pull in front of the crowds. Our resident beer-expert.
Pete - Keyboard
'The Hitman' - Pete's ability to fuse 70's prog-rock openings with modern synth touches make him a formidable artist indeed, his cheeky little melodies never miss the target.
