At first glances this doesn’t look to be one of the highlight on the Manchester music Scene calendar.
The retro bar is very quiet due to a gig clash (Citizen Fish)
The first band (Eye Licker) kick things off in a raw punky style the response is quiet at first but the boys soon have things warmed up and applauds are a plenty.
By the time Glue Ear get on there are a few more faces in the crowd. Friendly banter between band members and the crowd lighten the atmosphere. a few punky and ska songs later and the cheers keep on coming.
Next up are Cash For Your Stories,. Despite a 10 month hiatus (while looking for a new Bassist) CFYS sound tight. Their sound is change in direction from teh first two bands which is no bad thing. The whole experience is lapped up and their slot seems over in no time!
And now its on to the Big Finale - BLACKJACKET!!!
These boys from Canada really know how to rock, they have a GREAT stage presence and truly OWN the stage. They play their won style

Anoter good night on teh punk scene. Some arsing about by headliners meant that some of us bands had to cut out set time down to 15 mins to stop the whole show over running. Good night, welll done to the Squirty Dotters collective
