Since forming while at University in Cardiff , Kennedy Sunday have been building a name for themselves with their exciting brand of idiosyncratic rock. Kennedy Sunday have been sharing their time between rural Herefordshire and Bath as they put the finishing touches to their debut EP.
With varied influences ranging from '70s Bay Area Rock to such bands as the MC5, the Velvet Underground, Calexico, The Band and on through Neil Young, David Bowie and Bob Dylan - Kennedy Sunday fuse a dizzying array of styles, jumping from anthemic rock to gentle folk to funk and back again, sometimes in the same song.
Airplay on national, regional and local radio has enabled Kennedy Sunday to build up a dedicated fanbase. Having supported touring acts such as Every Move a Picture, Mumm-ra and The Counterfeits, performed a number of gigs and festivals throughout the UK as well as being voted the Best University Band in Wales, Kennedy Sunday are currently hard at work promoting their current release, Hold EP.
In late September 2006, Kennedy Sunday were chosen to take part in XFM Manchester's Unsigned Competition, and were voted Unsigned Band of the Week by the public vote.
