Lekan Shobiyi was born in Lagos Nigeria. He is a musician, guitarist, producer and a businessman. He started his music career and playing the Guitar at the age of 15. He learned to play the Guitar from his mother's church by the church guitarist Mr. Ajayi (Eda).
At the age of 3 years old he started his passion for The Fine Arts and Music. He loved playing percussion. He was always surrounded by, Fuji musicians that played percussion music at that time.
He was inspired by his late, brother Oluwadamilare Shobiyi, who was the first musician in the family. He was a Choirmaster of a church and played Percussion and Keyboard.
1999 in Nigeria he joined the Tony Tetuila's band as their guitarist and toured with them. In 2001, he auditioned for Wasiu Ayinde (K1 the Ultimate Band) and got the part. He recorded Albums and toured International for over 3 years, with the band. In London they played in venues like Royal Festival Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall.
In 2004 he settled down in London to pursue his music career. He met all sorts of musician and bands from all over the world, this included; Mbawula Band (Paul Batholomew), Oren Marshall & The Charming Transport Band, Ozi Ozaa Band (Yaw Asumadu), Julian Siegel, Luyanda Jezile, and many more.
2005 he played on D'banj (KOKO MASTER) 1st album Titled 'No Long Thing', and featured on the track Tongolo.
Over the last few years, Lekan played and toured across the UK, with different bands. In Autumn 2009 he toured with Netsayi Chigwendere, backed her with guitar and backing vocals, in support of 'Celebrated South Africans'; Ladysmith Black Mambazo.
In April 2011, he did a live recording with Sonnie Badu 'AFRICAN WORSHIP'. He also backed him up at the AFRICAN GOSPEL AWARD in July, where he also backed Uche (Double Double).
