about us

Bristol three-piece and indie-pop sensation, Let’s Tea Party, have only been together for a year and yet are already gaining the widespread support that many established bands could only dream of. Heavily tipped as the next big thing from Bristol by everyone from BBC Radio Bristol to NME.com, the trio infuse catchy pop gems with a vast array of instruments and a riotous performance.

Having been likened to everyone from Architecture in Helsinki to De La Soul (with more guitar), the cardigan wearing trio have taken the South West by storm, winning the famous Bath Moles battle of the bands, bagging some recording time in the prestigious Mole studio (Blur, Spirituali and being chosen by both Carling and Red Stripe to represent Bristol in the Carling supports slot competition and the Red Stripe Music awards respectively. Packed out and charismatic live shows have led to a variety of vastly enjoyable and well received festival slots including Glastonbury Festival 08’, the Rose Tree Jam (performing on the same stage as Mark Ronson) and a sold-out headline slot at the recent South West Fringe Festival, where they were championed by Gary Smith of BBC Bristol Uncovered fame as the ‘best act of the festival’.

As if all this excitement wasn’t enough, their first demo ‘Reptiles’ received recent airplay on Radio One and XFM and was voted track of the week by Venue Magazine, culminating in a full-page spread on the band, which mentioned said track to be deserving of ‘a page in the Big Book Of Songs Perfectly Suited To Making It Big This Year’.

Let’s Tea Party recently soft released new single, the upbeat and infectious ‘Barcelona’ (available on iTunes) with Syllabus Music as part of the first ‘Sounds Like Syllabus’ compilation. Already having gained airplay on XFM, BBC Bristol and numerous student radio stations nationally, after being voted track of the week by the Student Radio Association, ‘Barcelona’ has received a number of rave reviews.

‘Awesome’ (Steve Harris, XFM)
‘A catchiness verging on stalkerish’ (Julian Owen, Music Editor, Venue Magazine)

**** 'Barcelona' released on iTunes ****

Hello!

Let's Tea Party have let loose their boogie-swizzle funk-scuffle 'Barcelona' on Syllabus Records.

From today friends, music-lovers and party-poppers galore will be able to buy Barcelona for 79p on iTunes.

You never know we could even break into the heady heights of the top 200 singles next week!

So if you fancy some pop-bounce jellybean love then go to your iTunes store and show some paper.

Thanks,

LTP
