about us

The Rudimentary Confusions’ unique style is hard to categorise, the band are best described as being ‘indie with a psychedelic twist’ and have previously been compared to Jimi Hendrix, Kula Shaker and The Small Faces. The band have played at key venues throughout the UK and have even appeared at the world famous Cavern Club in Liverpool, taking the main stage in a prime slot a the renowned International Pop Overthrow Festival. The band make regular live appearances at venues throughout London and the South East and have received airplay on various radio stations; this combined with their rapidly growing fan base and massively successful sound certainly makes the Rudimentary Confusion a band bursting with potential.

“In the current climate, their sound has a real potential to make its mark.” Soho Strut Magazine

The newly recorded ep has seen a distinct shift in the ‘Confusion sound, with an unpredictably fresh focus on strong rhythms and punchy lyrics combined with a courageous fusion of jazz and country which creates a beautifully innovative sound. The Without You Blues is a prime example of this exciting and highly creative fusion. This, the band’s third ep, also sees the band move towards a more contemporary guitar sound, encompassing many of the popular styles dominating today’s charts. The ep holds similarities to successful bands such as The Zutons and The Kings of Leon whilst staying true to the bands’ own distinctive sound.
