THE BOBS
The BoBs
the BoBs Ska’ n Roll Biography part 1

the BoBs Billy (Bob) Rhythm guitarist/vocals banjo and founder member of The BoBs.
Scotty delivers a distinctive guitar sound and a solid rhythm, which helps punctuate and drive the sound of the band.
the BoBs Tom (Bob) Lead guitarist/backing vocals. Tom is the youngest member of the band at just the tender age of sixteen he powers out exciting lead guitar and riffs that any seasoned musician would be proud of and gives the band a unique vitality.
the BoBs Helen (Bob) Bass guitar. Helen is the only girl in the band and gives the band some feminine charm. Her bass playing is melodic and punchy and keeps the rhythm section in order. Her catchy hooks and feel add colour and humour to the sound.
the BoBs BoB (Malcolm) Drums/Backing vocals. Malcolm provides an excellent back beat for the Band, his Rock N Roll accenting fuses nicely with the Ska structure completing a tight and fresh rhythm section.
the BoBs BoB (Martin) Piano/Vocal/songwriter. Martin completes the line up in the Bobs. He sings main vocal on all originals the band perform and his Rock n Roll no nonsense cockney piano helps fuel and support the sound of..
the BoBs
I First saw the BoBs perform at a Jam night in West London in September 2005. They announced that this was the first place they’d played and kicked into one of their songs called “I n my Head, it was Ska… I liked it; they did one more “Never comin back, this was ska but more Rock n Roll. They then got off to let the next act on. I met the band after and asked, how long have you been together? Not long enough replied Malcolm Drummer and joker of the band, Helen interjected, ’about five months. Where else have you played? I asked? Nowhere yet, said Billy, but we’re looking. Now we’ve found our sound we’re off. To Be Continued….

I saw the BoBs live at some place called the Northwood they had some kid on guitar, yeah he was good mind, and the rest weren’t bad either. Played like Ska and Roll, damn good fun I must say. Goes down well with a glass of stout and a packet of pork scratchings.
