Chorus is very strong, hint of Belle and Sebastian to the story-telling, and this would probably sound awesome live. Drums need to be much higher in the mix, and is that Gwen Stefani in the background? Excellent.

White Stripes might have the riff police onto them, but oherwise this is vital, spirited, and definitely Liverpool capital-of-culture worthy.

Tight and crunchy guitars, excellent range of sonic textures going on, monster drumming, and lovely dramatic vocals. Crisp and feisty January fun.
